*****RESPONSE REQUESTED!!!!*****
We are looking into raising Heritage Breed Hogs and we would like to know if there is enough interest to offer grass fed pork to our customers.  Just drop us an email and let us know your thoughts!!!!  Thanks

With all of the food recalls, e coli outbreaks, and growth hormones....Our family had finally had enough of the large chain grocery stores offering most of their produce from everywhere except for the U.S.!  Have you ever ask yourself why most of it comes from 3rd world countries???  That's because they have no regulation or standards for growing our food!!!

Many of these countries use human excrement for fertilizer!  Along with chemicals that have been banned in this country for years!

Did you know in China, it was discovered that catfish were being raised in sewage lagoons and imported to this country for us to eat????
Because of these reasons.......in 2007, Boardtown Organics was born!

Boardtown Organics is a small farm located outside Starkville, Ms. in the Bradley community that is dedicated to healthy, practical approaches to growing organic vegetables and seedlings. We make multiple plantings to insure continuous harvests throughout the seasons to supply both individual and restaurant /wholesale quantities. We grow a large variety of organic vegetables and seedlings, all of which are Certified Naturally Grown! Our latest addition of Rhode Island Red chicks will provide pasture raised meat and eggs starting in October. Please check our Blog for updates to the farm and availability of produce, eggs, and poultry.

HERE'S THE LATEST

Well......our first plantings have finished up but the second plantings have not progressed as planned.  The heat has really taken it's toll on the plants, water from the small seedlings is evaporating faster than they can absorb it through the root system.  This condition allows for little to no growth and even plant mortality.

We processed another batch of meat birds and the sales have been tremendous!  Check the Poultry Page for availability.
